For many students, a room in University accommodation is their first experience of living in their own place. It's an exciting time, and it needn't be daunting - our residences are set up to bring people together in a sociable, secure atmosphere where everyone can get involved.
We've kept the restrictions to a minimum so you can concentrate on studying, having fun and experiencing all university life has to offer. The decision to grant the accommodation lies upon two criteria's: Firstly, academic results achieved in the previous academic semester (65% weight/ applicable for re applying students only) and secondly the distance from place of permanent residence (35% weight/applied mainly for first time applicants). We thrive to deal with accommodation issues as efficient as possible. Past academic year 2010/2011 80% of the applicants were successful.
Monthly payment per students for accommodation in the academic year 2010/11 ranged from € 19.25 to € 56.42, depending on the comforts and facilities.
Campus administrators and faculty offices constantly support to modernize and enhance facilities in accommodation units. In 2011 a halls of residence Prince Pribina has been introduced to SUA students. At present, five halls of residences with 2543 sleeping capacity in place within the campus premises.
