Objectives and learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of this course is teach students fundamental questions of finance and currency theory, its basic parts and clarify categories so that students have basic knowledge for their further studies. The course is divided into three basic parts: Money, Banking and Financial market.
Course contents:
The course deals with the definition of the fundamental relations in finance, divides finance into: public finance, corporate finance, banking, insurance and international finance. In the part Money the course explains functions of money and their importance in the current market economy. In the part Banking the course analyzes the status of the central bank, commercial banks and interest rates. In the part Financial market the course focuses on direct and indirect finance and introduction into investment.
